I've recently tried to add a second 2GB RAM to a computer. I bought a pair of OCZ OCZ2P8002G and added them to my BioStar GF8200E motherboard... Unfortunately Windows 7 x86 only showed 2GB available. I took a stick out and tested it in Slot 1, it worked. I took the same stick and tested it in Slot 2 and it wouldn't boot (or even reach BIOS). SOLVED The 2nd slot was not seating the new stick properly. The old ram seated with out a problem but the new ram didn't quite make contact (about 8 times in a row!!). Make sure the slots are clean and free of dust and any objects are not covering or blocking the gold pins on the inner side of the memory slots of the board causing improper connections. And that you make sure each memory stick is locked in place fully in the two memory slots of the board. And sitting level and flush in both sockets.
